Life at Purdue

The moment I arrived Purdue,
I knew that I need to gradually adapt to the lifestyle here.
The most obvious thing that differentiate USA and Malaysia is the attitude of the road users.
There is pedestrians rights in USA.
The car will automatically stop for you to cross the road.
If I have already get use to it, I will definitely have a big trouble when I am back in Malaysia =)

I just played tennis just now.
It is my first time playing tennis at Purdue!!!
Weeeeee
I will definitely continue playing tennis,
and try to involve in the clubs and organizations here!!!!

About the class,
normally one class takes only 50 minutes,
and there are 3 session in a week.
Personally I like the way they arranged the time of class,
since we will easily get bored after the first hour of class.
However, I am VERY busy throughout my first week of studies here.
I have pre calculus class on Monday,
and WE HAVE QUIZ ON TUESDAY!!!!!!
Almost every courses require us to take the quizes...=(
And the most important thing that bothers me is that I have to get 90% out of 100% in order to get an A!!!!
This is really very challenging for me!!!!

I am going to the Lake of Michigan Trip organized by Purdue University tomorrow!!!!!
Hope I can get lots of fun....=)

I will upload photos on the next post...=)

Hello Purdue!!!!

After so many hours of plane, I finally reach Indiana, USA.
I reached Purdue University together with seniors.
You will not be able imagine how embarrassed are we.
Each of us have brought 1 big luggage, 1 hand luggage and laptops.
The condition of my bag made the things worst.
One of the wheel has already broken,
and I have to bring along the bag by using 3 wheels instead of 4 wheels....=(
Furthermore, we had to walk for 10 minutes before we reached the apartments.
OMG!!! The weather is so HOT and yet, we have to carry all the belongings by ourselves.
At last, Xin Yuan (senior) suggested to use trolley.
With the help of the trolley, we finally managed to move everything to the apartment.
Right after that, we went to buy the soft drinks IMMEDIATELY
hahahahahaa....

The compound of Purdue University is VERY VERY big.
I did not even realized that I have already reached Purdue.
It is like a town, with cars and public transportation.
These are some of the photos of Purdue University....=)

I found this squirrel...hahaha...=)

My own Class Schedule

hohoho...
The thing I like about US Education is that I have an opportunity to create my OWN Class Schedule!!!!
Weee!!! I am super excited when I got this chance.
Besides my core module, I have freedom to choose any courses I am interested in.
I am now able to decide the time,
and even the lecturers...(although I don't know any of them except my adviser...=P)
Have a look on my schedule here.....=)

The day is getting nearer.......

It's August 1, 2010.
This indicates that I am nearer to the day
which I will be flying to the United States of America alone.
Starting from that day,
I got to be really independent;
I have to face challenges myself.

In fact, when you ask about my feeling,
I would say I am more reluctant than excited.
I have no way to change my decision,
no hesitation,
no turning back....
I will enjoy every moment spending at Purdue,
I will make good use of every opportunity.

I can still remember the day I made my decision to apply to US universities.
It was last year July,
I brought all the necessary books to Nottingham,
and I stepped out my first step--took TOEFL Test on August 8, 2009.
I can't believe that I have been busying for US application about 1 year,
and currently, I am going to study in my dream school.
Thanks to everyone who helps me,
Thanks Chen Chow,
Thanks Hew Mun,
Thanks Su Ann,
Thanks Andrew and many many more.
I really appreciate your help.
