Saw my friends blogging on how they spend their time during the year of 2009.
I may conclude my activities for the year 2009....

January - May 2009
I ventured as a piano instructor at a music studio in my home town.
I found that I have learnt many things,
and have fun during the teaching and learning process.
I really miss the instructors there,
as well as my students and friends.....
I have a wonderful time there....

March 2009
I received my SPM results,
which make me very happy and glad.
But this would not make me proud,
as I know there is still a long journey to go,
a long way to fulfill my dream.
I will continue work hard,
to strive for my dream.
I would not give up,
until the last second......

May - Jun 2009
Studying at Tunku Abdul Rahman College (TARC), Penang branch campus.
The most memorable event is the orientation week as well as beach party...
I miss you all, Taipei team members!!!!!!
You guys make me have a memorable experience there
and have many good friends there......
And for sure, thanks to my housemate,
especially Xiao Xian for lending me your ear,
listening to my complaints and worries......

July-December 2009
Received offer letter to study at The University of Nottingham, Malaysia campus.
I really face a great dilemma right after receiving the offer letter.
But anyway, I think I have made a right decision,
for choosing this institution.
I meet many good friends here,
I experienced many interesting, new and exciting things here,
and I think I have become more independent.
That is what I think,
but for sure,
I learnt a lot from lectures as well as my friends.
I am so glad to have you all,
spending our happy and hard time together.
hope our relationship can be continued even after we graduate.......

Summary of Semester 1

The time passes so fast.
It is the end of semester again.
Although this semester is longer than previous semester,
I think I am much more busier in this semester compared to last semester.
Especially that tedious English Portfolio!!!!!!!
Anyway, it is over dy.

Feel like our friend relationship is not as good as last semester.
Just wondering that.
But I think all of us will be better and mature after some conflict.
Life is like that,
need some conflict and difficulties,
in order to be more mature.

Fabulous Gala 2009

I had my moral mid term examination in the afternoon.
Later, we went to Yann Yi's room to celebrate Amy Wong's birthday.
I was then decided to follow Adelyn them to volunteer for the Fabulous Gala 2009 event.
It was indeed a special and unique event,
which we could hardly found this type of event in anywhere else.
It was an event that protects and supports people with HIV/Aids.

hahaha.....we tied the balloons on the car....but eventually we removed it ^^

We reached home at around 2.30am.
And I was told by my roommate that there will be Meteor Shower at around 3.45am.
therefore, two of us walked to the basketball court to wait for it.
IT'S TRUE!!!!!
We saw some of the Meteor at around 3.44am!!!!!!!
Wee!!!!This is my first time waiting for Meteor Shower,
as well as my first time seeing the Meteor!!!!!!!

Feeling....

I felt that I am not that close with certain friends already.
Sorry...
Is not that I don't want to be punctual during assignments discussion,
Is not that I want to delay some works,
I really can't make it
I can't be punctual due to several reasons.
Please don't misunderstand me.
I really work hard to do my best,
but currently I faced some difficulties.....
Very sorry........

6/12/2009-Cassey's birthday
Surprise
On the midnight of 5/12/2009, we celebrated birthday with Cassey.
We watched the movie proposed by Dr Toh in Fei Kean's room.
Wah...there was no subtitle....
So, you know lar...
I can't understand lor....
and Fei Kean fast-forward the movie...hahaha.....
Later, all of us were half-sleeping...
I couldn't withstand the sleepiness,
so I just sleep on the floor.
Suddenly, Matthew called Cassey.
i thought that was just a normal call,
but I was wrong.
Some of the guys were already waiting outside the door,
waiting to celebrate birthday for Cassey.
Wah!!!I was so blur when they open the door...
After a while, Jethro and his gang came.
They arranged balloons outside the main door...
Wah...second surprise for Cassey!!!!!



Time Square trip
Bioscience girls, engineering guys and me went to time square to celebrate Cassey's birthday.
The moment we reached there,
we saw Maxis team were having promotion.
and we were asked to join the game.

Kajang satay
Went to have dinner with Poh, Chong Ren, Wei Liang and Jethro.
We ate kajang satay there,
and hanging around at Metro Kajang.
Met Steve and friends in the bus.
Quite shocked.
haha......

World Aids Day 2009

This was my first time being volunteer on The World Aids Day.
In fact, the World Aids Day falls on December, 1,
but they make it on the Saturday and Sunday.

28/11/2009
Yann Yi, Zoe, Zuhair and I took the 10.30am bus to Kajang KTM,
then used KL Monorial and LRT to Sungei Wang.
We have MacDonald as our lunch.


Later, we went to the 6th floor of Sungei Wang for registration.
We got a free shirt!!!! Wee!!!!!
Then, I was so "sampat" until I told the person in charged
"I am in charging risk management''....."
Lol.....study too much of Business subjects.....
It suppose to be 'Risk Assessment'
Yann Yi and I were required to pass those form to public,
to see how much they know about HIV.
Before out duty time,
Yann Yi and I were walking around the stage there,
and there was something carrying out,
where we got to see some local artists there.
Haha...I seldom have such an opportunity to meet artists
even the local one....

One FM DJ...

We met other Nottingham students as well...
Haha...They were damn funny....
Simply paste the red ribbon on people's shoulder without asking for their permission....
But whatever lar
as long as we done our job.^^

29/11/2009
Same as the day before,
we took ktm to the destination.
This time, we let Zuhair to make decision on where to have our lunch.
At last, he lead us to a Lebanon style restaurant...
Wah!!! The prices were DAMN "CHEAP"!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Finally, we ate kebab Chicken,
It was quite nice....^^
The most memorable thing was the Lebanon style Ice-cream....


He was so enjoy 'scooping' the ice-cream for us.....
He would ring the bell once he scoop the ice-cream...^^
And we requested to take a photo with him....

Later, we continue our stuff till 7pm,
and I had my dinner at MacDonald.
As we decided to take Chin Phei's car back,
we walked there for a while.
And again, there was a show carrying out.
It was kind of singing competition roadshow.
Haha..Yann Yi and I were so lucky,
got something from them.....
Reached campus at around 11pm.....

My Oral Presentation.....

I had my oral presentation today after delaying for 1 week.
I was so nervous when the first presenter, Chee Hao presented his oral presentation.
He was very excellent and spoke fluently,
making me and Fathin worrying about ourselves.
When it was the third person's turn,
which was supposed to be Karmi,
He was as if reluctant to present
(This is what I think la...^^)
So , I just volunteered to go out,
as I don't want to be the last person
And ya,
I speak too fast...
Haha...sorry ler friends.....
I just don't know why,
suddenly felt nervous....
And surprisingly,
Miss Alison said my power point presentation slides were good!!!!
Wee!!!!!
I was so happy!!!!!
During the question and answer session,
I was a bit worried,
because Dick Kay and Karmi suddenly "shoot" so many questions at me....
Luckily Miss Alison helped me to explain after I explained to them
yeah!!!

A sense of relief.....

After all the mid term exam,
My stress is partially gone.
I feel that I am happier than before......

E&M Test

For those of you who don't know,
I am currently taking the subject that is NOT RELATED to my course, which is Electricity and Magnetism,
you may feel weird when I am talking about this,
but what can we do?
We have no choice,
but to accept it.

Talking about the test,
I was panic when I first saw the question,
because I don't know which formula to use.....:p
so sad....
When I wrote the answer,
I saw our lecturer taking the video on how we struggle during the test by using his handphone!!!!
Later,
he suddenly walked to my seat, and started to flipped through my answer sheet.
I thought he saw me writing the formulas on the blank sheet at the beginning of the exam,
but actually it is not because of this.
he then asked me,
"Can you answer the questions???"
I was stunned.
How can I answer him that I don't know how to do??
How if he ask me,"Why don't you put more effort on it??"
So, I just say,"erm....I think can lar..."
(but the reality is "cannot")

Haha.....It sounds funny when a lecturer suddenly asked you this kind of questions during the exam....

And I get the information from DK that he wants to help us.
Oh, so good if he really can help us
I really don't want this subject to pull down my average marks.....

What a busy week ahead.......

This is the week 7 our my semester 1,
There are so many assignments and tests
that make me difficult to breathe
and rarely have time to rest.

It is my "hobby" to list out the task that I supposed to do.

My weekend.....

As usual, I had my Moral Studies class on Friday.
There was a quote by our lecturer that I think interesting and funny,
and it is worthwhile for sharing.

Anyway, the class was quite fun when there were some interesting event happening.
After the class, I joined Chia Yee and engineering friends to have dinner in Kajang.
We went to a Hong Kong style restaurant,
and you know lar,
what is the range of the price.....
hahaha.....

I went to Pui Chen's place to pat poh after coming back from Kajang
and there was an incident which made us laugh like mad!!!!!!!
The story begin with........
Joey, Amy Fong, Pui Chen and Yann Yi went to Tesco together,
They dropped by Amy's room after coming back.
When they went back their room,
Joey found that Amy's keys were hanging at her door,
So, she just took the keys back to her room.
At last, Amy found that she had lost her keys.......
The results were.................

Birthday celebration (Continue)

My 18th birthday celebration (Part 3)
After the celebration of our birthday at SA,
I went to Fei Kean's room to pat poh.......
When I was updating my blog,
again, the lights are off.
And Bing brought in Blueberry cake,
which Fei Kean loves.
Woah!!!!!
It was 10.28pm....
We really get shocked....
I thought there will be no birthday celebration any more,
but........
And I receive gifts also!!!!!!

My 18th Birthday

This is my first time having my birthday beyond North part of West Malaysia.....
In my diary of "Nottingham life",
this day will be my most memorable day....

I used to celebrate birthday with my family every year,
Perhaps this cannot be considered as 'celebrate'
coz we juz had a simple dinner in fast food restaurant,
plus a chocolate cake^^
I enjoy that,
I like that atmosphere,
I like the time we chatting together, laughing loudly.....
but this year is quite different,
as I have my lovely friends celebrating for my birthday.


Celebration of my birthday Part 1 (27/10/2009)

At Kapas Hall......
Amy Fong phoned me saying that there were something wrong with our Moral Assignments
So, she asked me to gather at Kapas Hall at 9pm....
We kept on discussing the assignments until 11 something.
I began to think of what surprise they will give me
Suddenly, the lights were off.....
and Pui Chen they all bring in a Pizza with candle!!!!!

I was quite surprise.....
a new style of birthday cake, right?
After making my wishes,
we began to pat-poh and eat the pizza.....
As usual, we kept on taking the pictures.....

At SA.....
I spend my birthday with 3 lectures-

Miss Mandy (Management)
Miss Wong (Electronic information)
And of course,
with my English Assessment 1!!!
Today's classes is quite pack,
from 9am until 6pm.
Cassey invites me to have dinner at 7pm....
Around 7pm, Chia Yi, Shiau Ying, Fei Kean and I went down to SA.
Wah!!!! Fei Kean and me were so surprise
the moment we reach the the other side of cafetaria...
Many people were standing there and
THEY ARE CELEBRATING BIRTHDAY FOR US!!!!!!!!
In fact, today is Yi Dong, Fei Kean and my birthday....
This is indeed a special birthday celebration...

English Assessment 5

I know we took this test long long time ago,
but we JUST receive our test paper....
So, I need to make some comment on this....
I was really surprise when I got my English results....
You know what,
I get 20.2 over 25 marks for this assessment!!!
Weeeeeeeee
So happy now......

Many things happen today.......

As I mentioned at the title,
many things happen today....

1st, My semester 0 results is FINALLY OUT!!!!!
Yes, I need to highlight the 'FINALLY'
as I had waited for it for so LONG!!!!
In fact, I knew this news from DK
and I went to my personal tutor's room together with him...
Unfortunately, she was not in her room
While waiting for DK,
I saw Kok coming,
and quickly asked him to get his results from his personal tutor.....
You know what,
Kok scored 94 for his mathematics leh
damn pro de......
Then, I got my results together with Ashri,
which have the same personal tutor with me...
In fact,
I am quite satisfied with this results
because the marks are quite closed,
and there are no extreme marks.

2nd, Mathematical Techniques for Business
I was really not in mood during the Electrical and Magnetism class....
Feeling tired, confused with all the formulas....
Later, I decided to take a bath before heading for the exam
so that I can maintain the freshness of my brain
hahaha....
This is important, you know....
Don't play play with this leh.....
I really can't think of something when I feel tired......

Wah!!!!the questions were quite difficult
But it's okay
since it is just weighed 20% in the overall marks^^

Poh's Birthday

You may ask me,
"Birthday again???"
Yes. We were cerebrating our friend's birthday
This time, it is Poh's turn.
We celebrated this at Kapas Hall
Around 6pm, Steve, Mathew, Chia Yee, Fei Kean, Cassey and I went to Tesco to buy some stuff needed.

Wall Street Society Annual General Meeting

The AGM was held at 6 pm.
I went to the AGM with Kok
Before we stepped inside,
we were divided into groups
and I was in Group 4
Well....
I like the way they playing some grand music
while waiting for the other members to arrived
This was indeed a good way to create the 'mood'
before talking about all the facts and information about the society,
we were asked to play some games...
In the first game, we were asked to guess the other person's name
Matthew and I were chosen as the representatives
Perhaps it was because my name is difficult to pronounce???
Whatever la
But the reality is.....
the opponent FAIL to call out my name!!!!
Coz in that group, only Zhi Wei who knows my name
Is this a good thing???
No idea....
Later, we were asked to 'build' a building
by using the materials given
And we have to shout for more materials
For example,
each of the group will be having RM 3000 of the 'fake' money
and we got to use that money to buy other materials
that can enable us to build a high building
And I nearly forgot to mention,
KOK AND SIM CABUT LARI before the AGM startes....
hahahahaha......

Finally done my first lab report.....

Yeah!!!!
After disturbing many people,
I finally get my lab report done......

Moral Studies Class

Today, we are having our moral studies class.
We are joining with Business students from both April and July intake.
Quite noisy, actually.....
Our lecturer, Dr. Teo told us that last week,
the class was too boring;
but today, the class was TOO NOISY!!!!
until every 5 minutes, he had to ask us to be quiet ......
As usual, we had to pick a topic for our assignment
and initially,
I chose question 26, which is to compare Buddhism and Hinduism....
but that is the WRONG number!!!!
because I got wrong information......
but it's okay.....
Luckily question 23 and 26 are the same,
and there are another group choosing question 23,
so I quickly requested for changing question....
hiak hiak hiak
At last, we got the question we wanted,
that is to compare Buddhism and Christianity......
The situation just now was quite embarrassing......
But never mind la.......
Over already.......

First lab class at UNMC

This morning, we, CSIT students will be having our first lab class....
I reached the class at around 10.50am
Woah!!!
Nobody there!!!!
That means I was the first person to reach???
Then, the engineering students arrived....
So sad...
Nearly all of them are from April intake....
Later, we were asked to enter the laboratory
It looked funny when all engineering students were wearing the lab coat
while we, CSIT did not

Can you see the contrast between us and engineering students???

and at that situation,
I felt like we were unwanted goods
being thrown to business class
then engineering class.....
And our results are almost the last to announced.....
I feel sad for CSIT students.....
We have no specific subjects to learn
No specific path to go...
Just take any subjects
as long as the credit hours are enough......

Laziness overwhelmed me....

I have been a long time not updating my blog
feel like no mood to write blogs.....
haih....
Will update if any activities are carried out....

During week 2, there was a club and societies fair
the Student Association was very crowded
In fact,
this was what I think of about a university
although it was noisy and hectic,
It looks energetic
I like these....
I like the campus to be full of people....

Lantern Festival

Most of us are far from our hometown,
So, we decided to celebrate lantern festival at the area of our hall.
This was indeed a special way for us to celebrate lantern festival.
Quite many people took part in this celebration,
including our Malay friends too
It sounds unique, right?
We brought mooncake from hometown,
then we exchanged the mooncake,
ate each of every taste...
It sounded funny when one of our Malay friends
claimed that the mooncake taste like curry??!!!
Then we play tanglong too
It was so nice....

Star Education Fund Presentation of Awards Ceremony

I was longing to attend such a grand ceremony for long time
Finally, I get the chance....
Actually I am quite shy.....
wearing a formal attire,
walking all around the campus....
Around 11am,
Cassey and I sat Michelle's car to Easton Hotel for the ceremony.
reach there at around 12 noon
Having lunch at mamak stalls
and went into the hall
Wah!!! There were so many people

This ceremony is definitely very grand
but for sure not as grand as graduation ceremony la....haha
We make use of every seconds to take photos

we got separated....
Me and Zi Wei sat at the other end
totally lost connection with Cassey and Michelle
And we just found out that there are three more undergraduate students
who are also getting Star Scholarship.

The food...That chocolate stuff is damned nice....Love it!!!

The ceremony began only at around 2.30pm
and we are almost last to receive the certificates.
I think that we are so proud to receive the certificates from
the vice President of University of Nottingham,
Professor Ian Pashby.
and we were asked to take photo with him.

All of the Star Scholarship recipients in our school.......

This was really a good experience for me,
at least I have the chance to take part in this ceremony
experience the 'grandness' of the ceremony
